Hey HubSpot Community! I’m having difficulty with adding all the contact properties from Outlook into HubSpot. I can get it to add the contact name, email and company. But it won’t pull in any phone numbers, title or address information. I’ve read the knowledge article on using HubSpot AI to populate contact properties. I’ve also deleted and reconnected my email. Any other suggestions?
Hey @Dabbott0001 ,
It sounds like you’ve got the Outlook integration working for basic details (name, email, company) but not the extended properties like phone, title, or address. A couple of things to keep in mind:
- Limitations of the Outlook Add-in
- The native Outlook add-in syncs only certain fields automatically (name, email, company). Phone numbers, job titles, and addresses typically aren’t pulled in unless they exist in the email signature and HubSpot’s AI signature parser can read them.
- AI Signature Extraction
- HubSpot AI can grab extra details from email signatures, but it doesn’t always catch everything, especially if the format is non-standard. If the phone or title aren’t being parsed, you may need to enter them manually or use a data enrichment tool.
- Alternative Options
- HubSpot-Salesforce/Outlook contact sync (via HubSpot Data Sync): If you actually want your Outlook address book contacts to sync, you’ll need a data sync connection (e.g., PieSync/Data Sync by HubSpot).
- Importing contacts: Export your Outlook contacts into CSV and import them into HubSpot with mapped fields for phone, title, and address. This is usually the cleanest way to bring over complete records.
