Hi all, I’m hoping to embed a poll into a marketing email so that when someone opens the email all they have to do is click “yes” or “no” for a single question and we will recieve important information. I know that there are some built in features but it requires them opening another separate page. I just wanted them to be able to stay in the email to respond. In the fast I have used CTAs for this and had the link go to our website. The only problem is that this isn’t very accurate? Is there a more accurate way to poll people without them leaving an email?
Hi @alexagatiss
To the best of my knowledge, email clients still do not support much in the way of interactive content. This means that any method of distributing a survey to contacts requires mesurements of:
- Clicks on links by identifiable contacts
- Visits to a specific landing page per response type
- Form submissions (i.e. with comments) on the landing page
The first is least accurate, and the last most accurate, but none is 100% reliable I don’t think.
The exception appears to be google forms, which can apparently be embedded in emails. I’ve not confirmed but I suspect this only works within Google’s email client though.
Hope this helps.
