Please change the name of the contract object, it is misleading and hard to explain internally.
Considering the quoting tool doubles as a contract. The contract object adds a whole other layer of confusion.
Right now quotes can be quotes OR contracts, depending on if they go out with the intention of being signed.
The contract object is NOT a contract. It is a record that stores the line items from signed contracts. Referring to it internally as a contract is not intuitive, because it is by no means in the legal sense a contract.
If I tell someone to view the contract it could be referring to the signed quote or the contract object.
All around I think the naming of quotes and contract objects need to be improved. It is causing confusion when trying to onboard our team.
