Currently in Pipeline Stages we are able to set criteria, such as certain properties must have content only can the Deal be moved to certain Pipeline Stage. I encounter an issue, where my Sales person created the Deal, but did not create the Company nor the Contact. So the Deal was not associated to a Company nor a Contact. I seek your understanding to have such feature: if the Deal is not associated to any Company, then that Deal will not be allowed to be moved to, example the Close Won stage.

@mortenstaal This is an excellent idea. I can think of a few workarounds to solve it for you for now using workflows while we wait for it to be implemented though!
We could create a deal property called ‘Assocaited contact’ that is automatically filled in with the name or email of the first contact associated to the deal. We could then say that a deal can’t move forward until there is a value for this deal property.
Workflows would be needed to achieve this of course.
