Pipeline Properties for Companies to Track Consecutive Progress

Currently, pipelines can only be used in deals, tickets, leads, etc. but many businesses need to track progress at the company level across multiple interactions or projects without applying a custom or standard object. I propose adding pipeline properties specifically for companies, enabling consecutive progress tracking in a structured, pipeline-style format.

In Detail:

  • Introduce pipeline functionality for company records, similar to deal pipelines, with customizable stages.
  • Allow companies to move through defined stages that represent the overall progress of ongoing projects, partnerships, or sales cycles at the account level.
  • Enable creation and customization of multiple company pipelines to reflect different workflows or project types.
  • Provide the ability to report on and visualize company pipeline stages to monitor progress over time (funnel reporting as in deals, etc.).
  • Non-plus-ultra: Sync or link company pipeline stages with associated deals or tasks to offer a holistic view.

Benefits:

  • Helps teams track broader, account-level progress beyond individual deals.
  • Supports complex sales processes, renewals, or multi-deal engagements that require company-wide monitoring.
  • Improves forecasting and strategic planning by visualizing pipeline status across key accounts.
  • Reduces manual workarounds currently needed to track company progress outside deal pipelines.

Use Cases:

  • Account management teams managing long-term customer success journeys.
  • Sales teams tracking multi-deal negotiations under a single company.
  • Customer onboarding processes requiring defined stages at the company level.
