Would be great to be able to have the standard pipeline automation functionality on standard objects pipeline. Example: I created a Partner custom object but I cannot create any automations for the pipeline stages as this functionality currently doesn’t exist.
In Deals, you can require the user to input a property value before sliding the Deal from stage to stage.
It would be great if this feature was available in Custom Objects as well, and would enable even more powerful automations.

As someone who is about to move over to Enterprise, I’m shocked this doesn’t exist already. What’s the point of paying for custom objects if we can’t treat them in the same way?
Yep…
One of our custom object is an onboarding object, including an obaoarding pipeline. It’s very hard to man age without any automation directly done at the pipeline level 
Automation options should exist for custom pipelines. Without that functionality custom objects must be moved manually between pipeline stages which limits the capabilities of a custom-build pipeline.
