"Pin this add-in" in HubSpot Sales will not close

I’m having issues in outlook classic with the hubspot add in, i cant get the “pin this add-in” pop up to go away. both the X in the top right and the “got it” button are non responsive, i can close the window entirely but that defeats the purpose.

Anyone else ran into this issue and maybe have a work around?

Hi @Jvelasquez and welcome, it’s a pleasure to have you here! :orange_heart:

Thanks for reporting this to the HubSpot Community!

Could you confirm whether you’re using the HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in or the legacy Outlook desktop add-in, and share your Outlook version/build?

Can you also please try restarting Outlook, and testing Outlook on the web to see if that helps?

Can you check that both HubSpot add-ins (HubSpot Sales Office 365 add-in and the legacy Outlook desktop add-in) aren’t installed at the same time.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend to send debug logs to our Support Team so that they can investigate this further.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear from our Top Experts: Hi @danmoyle, @rebeccatravels and @karstenkoehler do you have other suggestions to help @Jvelasquez, please?

Thanks so much and have a wonderful weekend!

Welcome to the Community @Jvelasquez! I’d guess it’s a bug, an anomaly. Definitely not expected behavior here. If it were me, I’d try the ol’ “uninstall and re-install” path first. You could also close Outlook entirely (not just the message window), then check Task Manager to make sure OUTLOOK.EXE has exited, and reopen Outlook. Open a new email, and in the compose ribbon, open Apps, locate HubSpot Sales, then right-click it and choose Pin (or equivalent pin action).

If you do not see the expected options, switch Outlook to the Classic Ribbon first. Another HubSpot Community workaround I found (link back there) reports that this lets users pin HubSpot directly from Outlook rather than relying on the HubSpot pane’s onboarding prompt.

If that still doesn’t work, I’d definitely follow the advice from the amazing @Berangere and send a debug report to Support. Hope that helps!
