# Permissions for Custom Owner Fields

The addition of custom owner fields is great! However, our team desperately needs the ability to restrict view/edit permissions by multiple owner fields. This isn’t currently available but it looks like many folks have requested it [here](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Allow-multiple-HubSpot-owners-to-be-assigned-to-Contacts/idi-p/1556/page/5#comments). Is there any updated timeline on this?
