Hello,

I’m trying to pass through the UTM parameters via the Embed Code in our CTA button. It currently has the redirect code and a bunch of other IDs; all I want is to take whatever is in the URL of the forwarding page and append it to the end of the redirected URL from hubspot. Basically I want to pass through all the UTM parameters to our event management platform so they can track conversions, and right now all the UTM parameters are getting stopped at our company landing page.

I’ve removed all the ID codes from below but this is the gist of how it is with the current default CTA:

```lia-code-sample
<!--HubSpot Call-to-Action Code -->
<span class="hs-cta-wrapper" id="some id here">
<span class="hs-cta-node node id here" id="some id here">
<!--[if lte IE 8]><div id="hs-cta-ie-element"></div><![endif]-->
<a href="https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/bunch_of_redirect_URL" target="_blank" ><img class="hs-cta-img" id="redirect id here" style="border-width:0px;" src="button image" alt="Register now"/>
</a></span><script charset="utf-8" src="https://js.hscta.net/cta/current.js">
</script><script type="text/javascript"> hbspt.cta.load(4505120, some id here', {"useNewLoader":"true","region":"na1"}); </script></span>
<!-- end HubSpot Call-to-Action Code -->
```

This is the way it looks currently, any ideas on how to take the query string of the current page and append it to the redirect?

Thanks very much!

Ian

Hi @ikelk

My understanding is that the CTA populates all the tracking information – behind the scenes – after the click.

If you want complete control over the UTM Parameters you could you replace the CTA using a normal HTML Button with a link and your custom UTM information. But, you’d lose the benefits of the CTA functionality.

Unfortunately, I can’t see any way of customising the CTA code.

Mike

Hi @ikelk,

I am incredibly new to this process. However, I am wondering if your forms are HubSpot native? I recently went through what I assume\* to be a similar issue. All the HubSpot documentation suggests adding UTM/etc. hidden properties to forms. Otherwise, with other dependents like CTAs, you are dealing even more with cookie and tracking issues.

I may be able to halp but need a lot more info.

What is your event mangement plaform?

Where is this CTA located now?

What is directing humans to this CTA?

In fact, what is the flow that humans are experiencing that you are attempting to track?
