Parent/Child company for equal partners

Hello Community,
I am missing an “equal layer” relationship between companies.
Child & parent are nice but how to document partner companies.

Say when Tim X and Joe Y own both Company A as well as Company B.
Both A and B have different names, domains and contacts within the respective companies, but since both are owned by X and Y, I consider them bein on “equal layers”.
Q: How about introducing a third relationship status?

Q: Does it harm to simply declare one to be “above” the other?
Q: How does this scale, when X and Y keep on building there little enterprise by opening company C as well as child companies A1 and B2? You get the idea…

What you need is probably covered by the new ‘associate with multiple companies’ features

Currently in beta Create and use association labels

Hello @HSteindl , I think that labels on companies can solve your problem. You could create a label for your partners for example. You can have this feature on Pro and Enterprise versions. Please have a look on this video explaining how that works.
