We work with many franchise operators and we have to sell to each location individually.
Most of the franchise operators have the same domain name regardless of their location.
When we close-win 1 location, HubSpot is changing all the locations to a customer. This happens when a franchise operator has the same domain name for each location.
We set the Lifecycle stage when the deal is won is toggled off (handling through a closed-won workflow instead).
Admittedly not all franchises are set up as parents/children, is that the best course of action to go here?
The optimal structure for us would be the following:
- Parent Company = Corporate Head Office
- lifecycle stage = customer
- when we have a vendor agreement
- lifecycle stage = customer
- Child Companies = each individual location or franchise.
- naming convention Company Name - Location or City
- lifecycle stage should only = customer when we close win each individual location
- close-win a location, only the 1 child company lifecycle stage = customer
How are others handling similar situations?
