Outbound calls from italian numbers

Hi! Italian customer wants to use an italian mobile phone number for outbound calls, but hubspot doesn’t support it anymore. It’s essential that customer can transcript phone calls on hubspot: what app would you recommend? Thanks

Hey @VeronicaC,

Thanks for bringing this to the Community! :glowing_star:

While we wait for some suggestions from your peers I’d like also include this similar request from our Ideas Forum : Offer phone numbers in more countries - #466 by SHall

Please feel free to comment the desired country and add an upvote as well!

Hey @EugeneAtKiwi, @evaldas, @Lnorden2 – Do you have any experience with any Marketplace apps that could @VeronicaC here?

Thanks!!

You are not missing a hidden HubSpot setting. Native HubSpot Calling number coverage is limited by country, and Italian mobile outbound has been a recurring gap (the Ideas thread Sam linked is the right place to upvote “more countries”).

If the must-haves are Italian mobile CLI + transcript sitting on the HubSpot contact/deal, the usual pattern is:

  1. Pick a calling provider that owns the IT number and transcription, then connect it to HubSpot so calls log as engagements (Aircall, RingCentral, JustCall, CloudTalk, and similar all have HubSpot apps; check Italy mobile availability on the provider side first, not in HubSpot).
  2. Confirm the HubSpot object write. Before you buy numbers, test in a trial: outbound call creates a Call engagement on the Contact, recording/transcript attaches or links, and the deal timeline shows it. Some apps only drop a note with a URL; if you need searchable transcript text in HubSpot, verify that in the trial.
  3. Keep one system of record for the number. Port or buy the Italian mobile on the calling provider. Do not expect HubSpot to host that CLI if the country is unsupported.
  4. Transcription language. Italian speech-to-text quality varies by vendor. Run a 5-minute real Italian sales call in the trial before you promise the customer “transcripts in HubSpot.”
  5. Fallback if budget is tight. Softphone with IT number outside HubSpot + manual/log via the provider’s HubSpot sync is still better than a broken native dialer. Avoid dual-logging the same call from two tools.

I would shortlist 2 providers that explicitly sell Italian mobile numbers, run the same test script (outbound → Contact timeline → transcript visible), and pick the one that writes cleanly. Upvoting the Ideas post still helps long-term, but it will not unblock the customer this quarter.
