Our Marketing Email going to client spam/junk folder

Hi just want to ask if there are ways or settings that prevent marketing emails send directly to spam/ junk. It seems there is no problem here

Hi there @rhence,

Thank you for posting to the Community!

Have you checked out this article? It goes over improving email deliverability and how to prevent emails from ending up in spam!

I’d also, like to tag in some Top Contributors to see if they have any other tips – Hi @danmoyle @louischausse @Phil_Vallender is there anything else you all would recommend?

Hi @rhence,

There isn’t a specific setting, no. By authenticating your email, you did the groundwork and from here on, it’s consistency and email sending according to best practices.

I’ve answered a similar thread before here: Why are my marketing emails going to spam in HubSpot? - #2 by karstenkoehler

Generally, it’s become a lot harder in recent years to get your email into the primary inbox of recipients. Email service providers are stricter, recipients are less forgiving.

If you’re already sending emails according to the best practices from my earlier post and from the resource that @chighsmith linked, then unfortunately, there isn’t a quick fix.

Lastly, you could consider turning off tracking for marketing emails to see if you’re emails have better deliverability: HubSpot Login and Sign in - you’ll lose insight into open and click rates however. Worth a test though, I would say.

Best regards!

Hi @rhence, Your domain authentication looks fine here, so this is likely more about sender reputation and content than DKIM/SPF setup. A few things that help beyond domain auth: check if you have DMARC set to at least “p=none” with monitoring, review your email content for spam-trigger words/excessive links/images, and check your sender score via a tool like mail-tester.com or Google Postmaster Tools if your clients use Gmail.

Also worth checking your engagement, rates low opens/high spam complaints on past sends can hurt reputation even with clean authentication. Is this happening across all clients or specific email providers (Gmail vs Outlook vs Yahoo)?

+1 to what @karstenkoehler offers, @rhence. As systems evolve, it gets more difficult. There’s no easy button here, just good practices and proven strategies to get into main inboxes and earn peoples’ attention. I’m also a fan of Jay Schwedelson and his content on email deliverability. I’d definitely follow him. He shares a lot on LinkedIn, including real and current data on what’s working and what’s failing.

Thank you!
