For our renewal pipeline, we create a renewal deal once a contract is signed to track CS involvement and make sure we’re prepared for a renewal. The close date on this renewal deal is the end date of the current subscription. When the deal owner finds out whether or not the client is going to renew, they close out the deal. This updates the close date to whenever the deal is moved, but we’d like for it to stay the previous subscription end date. It would be great if there was an option to turn off the auto-updating of the close date.
Its a reoccurring issue. Crazy that after all this time we still cant turn this function off.
