Option to edit price of line item when creating deal

Hey team, posting this on behalf of a cust!
Currently, when creating a deal and adding in line items, we would have to take additional steps to edit the line item AFTER the deal has been created to edit the unit price of each product
this is time-consuming and may potentially be disruptive to the business if the sales reps forget to make the change to the unit price
It would be great and convenient if we could have the option to also see the price of each line item we are adding to our newly created deals, as well as make edits to the unit price of each line item from the deals board instead of having to navigate into the deal record

Hi all, this is my case :slightly_smiling_face:

I will try to explain the issue as simply as I can.

We have one product which has a standard price of $15. However, if a customer wishes to order a larger quantity of that product, we are willing to drop the price of each individual product.

In the create deal menu, the ‘Add line item’ field at the bottom allows us to select the product and add a quantity, however, it does so at the default price. This means that if a customer wishes to order 1,000 units at a quoted price of $10 per test, the ‘Amount’ field in the deal will show up as $15,000 rather than $10,000 as the price of the product is not able to be adjusted on this page.

Thanks to Lin, I’ve discovered there is a workaround for this. But it’s a bit tedious and doesn’t add any efficiency compared to the current process I’ve implemented (created a custom deal field for Product and have the sales team manually enter the amount). If we could have a field in the Add line item field that allowed us to adjust the price, I could remove this product field as well as the necessity to manually enter the deal amount, saving time and simplifying the process for our sales team.

Thanks in advance for any fix that could be implemented.

Luke.
