We use a lead assignment workflow that assigns a contact to an owner based on a number of different parameters. It also sets off a sales sequence with email and SMS.
The issue is that we attend a lot of events that require customized messaging and we do not want them in this sales sequence. Currently, when I import a list of contacts , the only way to make sure they are not entered into this workflow is to turn off until the import is complete.
SOLUTION IDEA 1: Create an option during import that excludes all of the contacts being imported from current workflows.
SOLUTION IDEA 2: Make it possible to import a list of contacts directly into an existing segment. The segment can be added ad an exlusion to the workflow trigger.
This is a hassle and creates the possility of new leads comming into the system while the workflow is off.
