Only log emails to EXISTING CRM contacts!

This ideas is for the sales team. The goal is to make follow up more personal but automated.

Problem/Pain: I have scheduled to send an email at a later time for follow up purposes. My opportunity will respond or send an email between now and the scheduled email. I forget that the email is still scheduled and then the scheduled email is then out of context when it sends to the contact.

Solution: Have the option to unenroll a scheduled email if your lead sends an email or books a meeting.

Yes! This is a very necessary piece of automation that needs to exist!

I have some cases where I work with a client that has one or more partners in their project.
In those cases, they request that I email more than one (primary) contact.
Let’s get the option to email add emails within the contact’s record!

This would be an extremely beneficial tool!

Thanks for reaching out @jennyjidy. It’s possible that I’m missing something obvious here but I couldn’t quite understand exactly what you mean by auto-fill more than just the primary contact for email. Could you provide a little more information on the use-case here and where the tool is currently too limiting? Thanks!

If I specify a list of columns I want to be on a contacts export, then it should only contain that. It creates extra work down the line to censor data in some cases (Email, First Name, ect) and breaks current processes when columns are automatically added (Associated Company ID, Associated Company).

Would love to be able to add more complicated filters to the Company, Deal, and Contact searches - in addition to the “Is Known” and “is Unknown” something like “Is a Duplicate” would be fantastic to make sure we have clean data in the system.

This could be based on the name or any other field.

After creating a static list, there should be an option to bulk enroll individual contacts into that list, similar to how we can manually enroll individual contacts into a workflow.

Currently the options are to:

  1. Go into each contact record and add them into the list from there
  2. Re-import those contacts into the CRM and create a list from there

However it would be much friendlier to be able to have the option to add multiple individual contacts into the static list from the List tool itself, or at least be able to import contacts into the static list (which seems to no longer be possible as per this post)

Yes, the current workflow of having to go into each and every contact you’d like on a list is way to time consuming, so this is definitely needed!

Especially because it is difficult to only use filters in the active lists, and having to create a property for each list, then change that property for contacts you’d want in the list, is equally time consuming.

I would love to be able to figure out the open, click and reply rates of the emails that I send manually.

Right now we are just beginning our process and we are trying to craft new templates. I would love to just get an overall idea of how many emails were opened that I sent, regardless if they were a template or not.

The robot icon presented in automated chat replies, such as “We typically reply in a few minutes” or “Don’t have time to wait for a response? Leave your email to get notified when we reply” cannot be customized at this time.

I think it should be customizable.

Yes please, that icon is cute, but scares the people.

We would like to see how many of our chats come from existing customers as opposed to prospects. Iwould like to find a report that would show this for my team.

When reporting monthly and using a date filters like “last x days”, the oldest month is going to be cut into 2 and show inaccurate data. Instead, we want to show full weeks/months/quarters and for that we need a filters that allows last x weeks, last x months, last x quarters.

I’d like to be able to take a deal snapshot of all the deals I currently have (although this can be filtered too, by deal properties), on a specific date, to know how many deals I have per deal stage, at that date.

For example, end of the month, end of the quarter, end of the year, I’d like to analyse where all my deals are currently at.

With the same data, assuming that I take said snapshot with some regularity, I’ll also be able to track the evolution of each deal and determine if my deals are progressing at a regular, expected pace, whether a specific deal is taking a long time or progressing too quickly for it to be normal, or if we have a lot of stagnant deals that have been irresponsibly abandoned or forgotten. This helps with a lot of my sales productivity analysis as well from an individual and departmental perspective.

There seems to be no way to test deal-based workflows. How is this possible???

I have set up an email sequence for evaluation licenses not based on contacts, but on deals. However, the test tab is simply not there. I’d like to test the email sequence as it will act on the associated contact.

Agreed - the current process is very cumbersome and doesn’t even work properly.

I want to be able to test a deal based workflow as an actual contact would receive the workflow emails.

When I add a new company the next thing I always want to do is add a contact

but you cannot do that in the right-hand tab unless the contact already exists,

you have to go the long way around and go back up to contacts to then add the contact.

Same if you start by adding a contact, you cannot create a company only add a company that already exists.

Can you add a button under ‘add contact’ for ‘create contact’ to speed up the process and the same for ‘create company’ under ‘add company’ please?

Put a [Create Contact] button in RHS Contacts section of Company.
This provides consistancy with other sections as in [Add Deal] [Create Deal]… [Add ticket] [Create Ticket]

and makes the UX more efficient.

Similarly a [Create Company] button should be added to RHS section of Contacts.
Every entry I make has me going back and forth between CO and Contact to get a customer entered.

Its called CRM for a reason. There is almost always a need to enter both the first time. after that the URL takes care of it.

This post should be categorised in Companies and Contacts. Can’t change that as a replier!!!

In Conversations I can see which page the contact started the chat from. But when I look at the contact created when they submit an email, there is no field noting which page the chat started on. Hubspot tells me there is no way to automatically note which page a conversation started on within a contact property for contacts coming first from Conversations, which is disappointing.
you have the data in Conversations, but not in Contacts! Please let us attribute it within Contacts.
