One email address on more than one list - duplicate?

If I send a marketing email to multiple lists and the same person is on two or three lists, will they receive the email multiple times or just once? Thank you for any advice.

Hi @Sarah_K

If you add multiple lists to the same email, each unique recipient will only receive the email once. HubSpot will dedupe those contacts when sending.

Hope this helps.

@Phil_Vallender Thank you for your response. That is what I was hoping, but I definitely wanted to confirm. Thanks again!

Hi Phil-

If I didn’t want it to dedupe and instead wanted the email to send separate messages to the email based around dynamic content related to their user record?

Example:

Store 1 - bob@gmail.com - $55

Store 2 - bob@gmail.com - $45

Store 3 - john@gmail.com - $40

Email content would show for Bob’s first email received:

Store 1 - $55

Email content would show for Bob’s second email received:

Store 2 - $45

Or will the system simply not send them due to the duplicate contacts existing in the list I import?

Thanks

Hi @PhilK,

What if you send out a marketing email to one lists, and the day after to conduct a “send to more” action and in the list you select for the second sendout contains some contact’s who are also included in the list that was used for the first sendout?
