One deal different amounts of products in time

Hi

When working on the deals around 50% of the time we sell 1 product in 1st month from signing the agreement, 2-3 products in the 1st quarter and somewhere between 0 - 4 additional products in 2nd quarter. Products might differ, but the “sequence” of purchasing is usually agreed upon upfront with the client.

Is there a way to record such a sequence while creating a deal?

I need it to predict the number of products required in 1st month and in the future, and to predict revenue.

Thank you for your help!

Marcin

Hi @MŁowczyński,

Thank you for your inquiry.

I’d like to involve some of our experts in the conversation to review whether they have any suggestions for you or if they have encountered a similar case in their experience and how they resolved it.

Hi @HubDoPete, @Josh, @Franci. Do any of you happen to have any suggestions for resolving this behavior?

Thank you all for your contributions.

Best regards,

Diana

Are you creating one deal and updating its amount as you go, or multiple deals for each step?

While it may appear more clunky, it would be easy to do with multiple deals… one for each step.

You would be able to track each deal’s progress in the pipeline… You could even do separate pipelines for Round 1, Round 2, Round 3. Might help you better track conversions and see fall off. If someone has two closed won deals for the first two rounds, and then fails to convert the third… might be insightful rather than just seeing everything as Closed Won bc they bought in the first round.

If that’s the option you go with, you’d be able to create the follow up deals… manually or via workflows… with their amounts and expected close dates.

Just an option.
