I had an old domain (bestme) that i have now changed to the new one (techcoach). Bestme isnt listed anywhere in the Domains list but it does appear as a drop down under Sitemap or Language settings. The problem comes when i go to create a new website, the word Bestme is in the header in the top left hand side, and for the life of me, i cannot figure out how to delete it! It’s incredibly frustrating and i’ve just spent 3hrs trying to resolve to no avail. I just want to remove any traces from the Bestme old name. Thanks

This sounds like a lingering issue where the old domain (Bestme) is still stored in some settings or templates within HubSpot. Here’s how to fully remove any traces of it:
Step 1: Check Account Branding Settings
Go to Settings () > Account Defaults
Under Branding, check if “Bestme” is still listed in the company name or logo settings. If so, update it to “TechCoach.”
Step 2: Check Website Settings
Navigate to Settings > Website > Domains & URLs
If “Bestme” isn’t listed, go to Sitemap & Language Settings and check if it’s cached in any configuration.
If it’s still appearing, click Edit and try updating the primary domain to TechCoach.
Step 3: Check Global Header & Footer
If your site uses a Global Header/Footer, go to:
Marketing > Website > Website Pages > Choose a page > Edit > Design Tools (Advanced)
Look at the Global Header Module to see if “Bestme” is hardcoded. If so, replace it.
Step 4: Check Templates & Themes
Go to Marketing > Files & Templates > Design Manager
Search for “Bestme” in templates or modules. If it appears, edit and replace it.
Step 5: Clear HubSpot Cache
Sometimes, old settings are cached. To clear it:
Log out and log back in.
Try an incognito browser.
Wait a few minutes for changes to take effect.
Step 6: Hard Refresh & Browser Cache
Press CTRL + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to hard refresh.
Clear your browser cache if the issue persists.
Step 7: Contact HubSpot Support
If “Bestme” is still stuck in places where you can’t edit, it could be stored at the backend.
You can contact HubSpot Support and request them to manually remove any residual domain references.
After trying these steps, let me know if it’s still showing up!
I don’t seem to have access to your Steps 3 & 4, although the Global Header is where the Bestme wording is on the website builer, that i’m trying to get rid of so that’s probably it
And none of the others have worked either, unfortunately
What could also be happening:
Since you’re changing the domain, there might be still pages, emails… build/hosted on the old domain and HubSpot might think that it’s still in use. Therefore I’d suggest to double check every page, every email(settings->web-versions) and every redirect if there’s something related to the old domain.
