# OAuth2 localhost redirect\_url

Hello,

Did something changed OAuth2 settings for apps recently? We were using localhost as redirect URL successfully until last week, and today we cannot enter a localhost URL in Redirect URL field.

@Syncari - confirming that I’m also seeing this issue as of yesterday (17/10). Per the [docs](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/methods/oauth2/initiate-oauth-integration), we should be able to use localhost for preprod. However, like you, I’m getting an error in the UI and I cannot choose this host.

I did try using the loopback address (which _is_ accepted in the UI) - but when you invoke an actual oauth journey, HS eventually returns an error stating that raw IPs are not supported as redirect URIs. This is in line with their docs - just a last ditch attempt on my part!

This is one for a HS UI engineer I think!

Also note this issue potentially related: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/APIs-Integrations/Bug-in-Redirect-URL-validation/m-p/296243](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/APIs-Integrations/Bug-in-Redirect-URL-validation/m-p/296243). Also, when you include a ‘.’ in the value, the UI accepts your entry - defintely sounding like a UI validation thing.

Looks like its fixed now! Thanks for the fairly quick turnarounnd HS!
