Hi all! I have only just started to use Hubspot and there are already stages built for leads and deals but what I am trying to analyse is: the number of days between each stage to get an understanding of where there are delays or long cycles in the funnel.
I hope someone can help!
Hi @JFox50,
This can be achieved with calculation properties: Create calculation and rollup properties
In calculation properties, you have the option to calculate the time between date properties. You can reference the “Became a lead date”, “Became a marketing qualified lead date” etc properties here.
Once you have these calculated values on each record, you can create a custom report: Create custom reports
(This requires a Professional subscription.)
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!
Hi @JFox50
For Deals consider looking at the “Time spent in deal stage” report.
This standard report shows shows the average time deals spend in a stage, grouped by rep or team.
To find it > Navigate to Sales > Sales Analytics > Forecasts and Pipelines
This solution requires Sales Hub Professional+
Hi @JFox50,
In the meantime, HubSpot has added default properties for this, no need for calculations:
- Entered stage date [Stage ID]: the date the deal entered the stage.
- Exited stage date [Stage ID]: the date the deal exited the stage.
- Time in Stage [Stage ID]: calculated for a deal after it leaves a given stage. This is not calculated for a deal’s current stage. This can be used as a filter when building a custom single object report.
For those on Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise, the sales analytics (Menu > Reporting & Data > Sales Analytics) also contain a pre-made ‘Time spent in deal stage’ report:
View the average amount of time a deal spends in each stage. See where your deals might be getting stuck in your sales process. Time in stage is calculated for closed won deals. Read more terms & definitions used in this report in a knowledge base article.
Best regards!
