When you attach a file to an object it creates an empty note. Which is functionally useless. You should be able to
a) upload a file without creating an empty note
b) if that’s unavoidable, have a (saveable) way to filter out empty notes.

Thanks for submitting this idea @pmann-elementum! We recognize that this is not ideal behavior. While fixing this is not an immediate prority, we are keeping an eye out on customer feedback to determine the level of priority. In the meantime, we are releasing some cool enhancements to record attachments that enables users to sort, search and filter their attachents to quickly find the files they care about, take bulk actions and view file metadata that was previously unavailable. Please feel free to submit your details in the google form if you’re interested in the Beta and and we will automatically grant you access to the new attachments experience the week of 4/1.
