# Notes on some activity

Hi,

Is there a way to note some information on a certain deal Stage change. Someway we could pass some information regarding that change through api.

since we cant write any information to notes through api.

Hey, @saamir 👋 Can you clarify the limitation around notes you are hitting? Looking at the documentation, you can create [Notes via the Engagements API](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/notes#:~:text=of%20this%20article.-,Create%20a%20note,-To%20create%20a), and add the note body (text) and associations in the call. You can also [**update an existing note**](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/notes#update-notes) with the same API. You would need to do this in a call or calls that are separate from your deal stage change.
