I work for a small business and we just installed the hubspot CRM wordpress plugin.
We want to start creating using this tool for email marketing but are a bit lost on how many email subscribers we can have with the free version, and in general how to set it up, start it, and maintain it.
Any good articles/advice in this aspect?

You can easily find your very own limits by following these steps: Manage your HubSpot subscription – this is also where you would keep track of where you currently stand.
The main limit for your free CRM portal would be 2,000 email sends per month:

I’d recommend reading about the concept of marketing contacts, too, as this will allow you to mark contacts as non-marketing contacts so that they do not count towards your limits: Understand marketing contacts
