I have 6 non-hubspot forms that use a custom contact property that I would like to archive. I have turned off the Zapier connection that pushes the data to hubspot, so the property should not be reporting data (for the last month).
However, when I go to archive the property it still shows the property being used by the non-hubspot forms. How can I archive this property?
Hi @Longstation ,
If you go to Settings > Marketing > Forms > Non-HubSpot forms is “collect data from website forms” turned on? If so, that might be what’s causing the issue. I’d try turning that off and then seeing if you can archive the property.

That would turn off data collection for all forms. I just one the ones with the bad property unhooked.
Hi @Longstation ,
Thanks for clarifying.
If that setting is on, its going to be pushing submissions and data over for all of your non-HS forms, regardless of if your Zap is turned on or off. So as long as that’s on, I wouldn’t expect you to be able to delete the property.
As you mentioned, it’s all or nothing with the non-HubSpot forms and you can’t specify which ones you want to have tracked in HubSpot. I found this thread in the community that came up with a workaround for this however. You could give that a try to stop pushing over any data from the forms with the ‘bad’ property. Another alternative would be to try removing the ‘bad’ property field from the form itself and then see if you’re able to delete it from HubSpot.
This won’t necessarily be a solution for everyone, but I found I was able to archive the property when I deleted the non-Hubspot form from the Forms list. The form reappears the next time it’s submitted, but I imagine you’ll lose your existing submissions. This wasn’t a problem for me as it was a new form, but I appreciate it might not be the desired solution for older forms.
Hey @Longstation did you by any chance ever find a solution to that? I’ve got the same issue with a property that I don’t want anymore but that was used by some testing with Zapier.
