Hi @Glyn_C,
Great question, thank you for asking the Community!
So, you have tried with a custom report, is that right?
Did you try with a table type of graph in the report to see the values of the properties?
I’d like to share these resources that might help you:
- Create reports with the custom report builder
- HubSpot Custom Report Builder Deep Dive (FREE lesson)
I also wanted to invite a couple of subject matter experts to this conversation: Hi @danmoyle, @GrantCarlile and @Josh do you have suggestions to help @Glyn_C, please?
If anybody else has anything to add and/or share, please feel free to join in the conversation
Thank you so much and have a wonderful day!
Best,
Bérangère
Thanks Bérangère. That’s right, I’ve tried to use a custom report with a table type. I can see how to set the field to be a ‘distinct count’ of the field value, but not how to ‘explode’ the data into multiple rows.
In this scenario, Line of Business is a multi-checkbox and record Id is used for the company name. The separates the multi-checkbox into rows whereas the table view would put all options on the same line for the multi-checkbox.
Thank you Josh - I didn’t notice/ consider a Pivot! That has got me the view I need.
A related question - I’m actually trying to associate Products to a Company, but I can’t see a way to do that at an Object to Object level; hence the multivalue field. Do you know if it’s still the case that you can’t create an associate between Products and Company?
If you are trying to do this in a report you can use Companies and Line Items as your objects to associate them. You would want to apply other filters though to weed out deals associated with companies that aren’t closed or closed lost, depending on what you’re looking for.
Thanks Josh. Seems a little weird to go Companies > Deals > Line Items > Products, when we could just do Companies > Products! But I’ll give that a go - thanks again.
