Recently HubSpot has introduced changed to the duplicate tool that allows merging of groups of records, rather than just two records. This update brought a change to the layout of the page, changing the way you compare records from a vertical pop up showing the records side by side, to a horizontal table, displaying values from top to bottom.
There seems to be a lot of mixed feedback regarding this change. Personally, I am having a really difficult time using it, and would greatly prefer to go back to using the vertical view because the current horizontal layout is slowing me down.
Being that opinions are so mixed, I am asking that HubSpot consider one of the following solutions:
- Introduce a feature that allows users or admins to choose which layout they want to use in the duplicate tool- horizontal or vertical
- Use the vertical view by default when comparing only two records, and automatically switch to the horizontal view when more than two records are being compared.
This would make sure no one is left out of the decision or having to make a compromise.
