There was previously the option to choose - I know because I switched to the colorful version which, for someone who is neurodivergent, helped my brain to compartmentalize things and not get overwhelmed by everything being only black and white. Now I have immediate eye strain and overwhelming overstimulation by being unable to compartmentalize the information I am seeing.
It’s fine to offer an all black and white option for those who might prefer it - but at least provide the option… why would you take away the option we previously had to choose for ourselves? Makes no sense.
My entire team and myself are extremely upset with this new design. It is very stressful on the eye. I have no idea why they would decide to essentially downgrade their product. I can’t imagine anyone who would prefer this new design. I will have to strongly consider leaving the platform.
Yes, completely agree. New Features and functions creating more benefits? Great
But leave the color scheme in place. The orange buttons were great. The quoting software is what made our team buy Hubspot. Being able to quickly add a contact then generate a quote was superior to any other CRM.
A big part of this ease of use, was the UI that had certain key actions/buttons colored in ORANGE.
Now the UI for a quote is a sea of black and white. If I wanted to go live in a drab communist regime, I would have moved.
Allow reverting to the prior color scheme. It works great. Improve the functions and features. But LEAVE THE COLOR SCHEME ALONE.
Yup. Chiming in here as well - just got the mandatory push a few days ago, and holy hell, my eyes hurt.
I keep cleaning my glasses because it feels like everything is fogged up, but it isn’t my glasses - it’s Hubspot.
They’ve taken the ‘sad beige baby’ motif from the past decade of toddler-rearing, and thrown it into a workspace.
I’ve written to Hubspot support, and they said they have no plans to allow reversions or introduce other schemes. Strongly considering just finding another CRM because I can’t have everybody on my team complaining about their eyes.
Every time i try to apply filters for segments for my SDRs i have to double check that I actually have everything i want clicked on bc it literally looks the same.
I completely agree! These new colors are just depressing and give absolutely no desire to work. It’s so gray and sad. It would be wise to offer customizable color palettes to make all of this a bit more cheerful.
I agree—“soulless” is probably the best word to describe the new theme. I’d genuinely love to hear from whoever at HubSpot made the decision to change the color theme: how many customers actually requested this change, or is there evidence that the new theme helps people focus better?
Otherwise, it feels like another perfect (bad) example of a company assuming it knows what its customers want better than the customers themselves.
Asked ChatGPT if I was alone in my complaints and it directed me here. Glad to know that it’s not just me. I can barely work in this tool without it causing me physical eye strain as well. Please, HubSpot, either give us options or bring back some color. The transition from any other web page to HubSpot is dreadful now. Please remove the Millennial Grey asap!
