Need to Rotate Client Secret for Public App

Hey, I want to also rotate the client secret for a app and to avoid forcing users to reconnect. I can’t see this option in the app settings. Is it possible and which is the process?

Hi @AMilaios

You need to contact HubSpot Developer Support through the Developer Forum or their Slack. They can manually rotate the client secret for your app and provide you with the new one securely. In most cases, users will need to reconnect unless HubSpot handles a backend rotation for you. This is why most developers don’t rotate unless the secret is compromised. If there’s no security incident from your side, you don’t need to rotate it.
