Need to remove an option for manual stage movement

Hi,

I am a bit confused about setting up enrolment triggers in my workflow. My goal is to build a workflow where you can enter another stage only if you complete a task from a previous one. The issue is that, I do not pick up Manual triger while setting up the enrloment trigger, yet it shows up as an option after I click save. How to get rid of that? :slightly_smiling_face:

With this settings users can move one stage forward without completing a task..
Visual of my steps:

FIRST STEP:

SECOND STEP:

THIRD:

AND THE FINAL EFFECT:

I hope that it is just a minor thing I miss here :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @MTraczyk,

It’s not possible to block manual enrollment in workflows, it’s always enabled and an option. You can’t remove it.

However, as the name says, manual enrollment will not automatically enroll anything. It takes a few manual steps before a record will actually enroll that way: Manually enroll records in workflows

Does that answer your question?

Best regards

Hi, thank you for the claryfication. Does it mean that I do not have a way of not allowing users to move the stages mannauly? Right now thay can move one a head, and leave the tasks open, which is far from ideal:

The workflow goal (visible below) is to allow stage movement only upon completion of the last taks from the list of tasks, is it possible then?

@MTraczyk just to avoid misunderstandings, workflows aren’t rules, they’re automations. By creating a workflow, you’re not enforcing that deals move exactly like that.

If that’s what you want, you would have to withdraw editing permissions to the deal stage property: Manage view and edit access for properties

If you also do not grant workflow permissions, users would have to complete the tasks and only the automation you set up would move the deals: Manage user permissions

Hi, thank you for the reply, I am analyzing what the best option would be. In regard to this workflow I have one last question - the way it is build now, does it requere to finalize all or just the last step to move the deal to the next stage? While testing I am getting mixed results, and I want to make sure I know how at least it theory it should work if build like this.

Milena
