Hey everyone, I’m looking for help with sending an order confirmation email to customers, which will be populated through my Node.js app. I want to use HubSpot as a middleware to track these emails. I’ve been exploring HubSpot’s SMTP and Transactional Email API for this purpose, but it seems like I need to purchase the Transactional Email add-on to use the feature.
Is there any way for developers to test this for free, or are there any alternatives within HubSpot that I can use for tracking emails during the development phase?
Hi @atifzafeer,
To test order confirmation emails in HubSpot without the Transactional Email add-on,
1. Send and track basic emails with HubSpot’s free marketing email tools.
2. Create a free HubSpot developer account to test in a sandbox environment.
3. Use services like Gmail or SendGrid (free tiers) and BCC HubSpot for tracking.
These options can help during the development phase.
I hope it helps, let me know if you need to talk!

Hi, Khushboo Thank you for the Above Reply Can I send an email using the SMTP/Transactional Email API for the above-mentioned requirements if I have purchased the Transactional Email add-on?
Hey, @atifzafeer
Order confirmation emails are an acceptable use case for the Transactional Email add-on — “commerce receipts, account updates, terms of service changes, and other essential business transactions.” Link
Best,
