Need freelancer to set up HubSpot for my small business

I’m seeking a specialist to help set up my training business as simply as possible in Hubspot. As part of my commitment to directing more of my business spending toward the Black community, I’m especially interested in connecting with Black-owned consulting businesses and Black independent consultants.

The initial work would include:
• A one-time cleanup and migration
• A deliberately minimal HubSpot setup, focused only on what I actually need
• A short written operating guide, if needed
• One or two hours of training focused specifically on the tasks I will handle personally
If the budget allows, I may also be interested in a small monthly block of support for imports, database cleanup, reports and occasional email campaigns.

I’m looking for someone who understands HubSpot well but does not automatically make it more complicated than necessary. Please share your relevant experience, rates, availability and examples of similar work. Referrals are also welcome.

Thank you Muhammad for your sensitive show of support for my outreach. I will surely keep you in mind if that approach doesn’t bear fruit.

Hi,

I’d be happy to help you set up HubSpot in a way that’s clean, practical, and easy to manage—without adding unnecessary complexity.

I’m a HubSpot CMS Developer and HubSpot CRM specialist with extensive experience helping small businesses migrate to HubSpot, clean up data, and build streamlined CRM processes that match how they actually work.

For your training business, I can help with:

  • One-time data cleanup and migration into HubSpot
  • A minimal CRM setup focused only on the features you need today
  • Custom pipelines, properties, forms, and basic automation where it genuinely saves time
  • A simple operating guide tailored to your business
  • 1–2 hours of personalized training so you’re confident managing HubSpot yourself
  • Ongoing monthly support (if needed) for imports, database maintenance, reporting, and occasional email campaigns

My approach is always to keep HubSpot as simple as possible while leaving room to grow when your business is ready.

Availability: I can get started immediately.

Hello Shakil. Hope you’re well. Thank you for your quick response. I haven’t started reviewing qualifications yet but will get back to you as soon as I am able.

Hello Berange. Hope you are well. First off I’m a complete newbie posting first time yesterday. I don’t understand this message from the Activity Log: 3 posts were merged into an existing topic [Archived content]. Have i mis-posted? Do I need to go somewhere elsew to see replies? Is that pretty common for folks to insert messages into my thread? Anything I need to do differently? Thanks much for your help.

Hey @jirvine

Your line about “not automatically making HubSpot more complicated than necessary” really stood out to me.

That’s how we approach these projects too.

We recently worked with FMG on a HubSpot and Salesforce setup where the work included:

  • Moving contacts, companies, and deals into HubSpot
  • Setting up clean data mapping
  • Managing inactive contacts for future nurturing
  • Using lead scoring to identify engaged contacts
  • Creating automated tasks and notifications for sales follow-up

The goal was not to add more tools for the sake of it. It was to make the system easier for the team to use and make sure the right information reached the right person at the right time.

For your project, we’d take the same practical mindset: clean up what matters, set up only what you need, show you how to manage it, and leave the rest alone.

If the initial work goes well, we can also support you with the occasional imports, database cleanup, reports, and email campaigns.

Happy to have a quick conversation and learn more about what you’re working with

PS: A few relevant examples of my work

Best,
Viv

(I hope this is correct.)
Ẹ ṣé for your good response. Sounds like you do work similar to what I need.

One concern I have is that none of your case studies mentions HubSpot. I don’t know much about the software but your case studies don’t mention HubSpot. They mention LightSpeed, ZenDesk, GoHighLevel and all the rest.

Thank you Berangere for your response.
I’d love to get responses from HubSpot freelancers who are Black. That’s why my posting says:
As part of my commitment to directing more of my business spending toward the Black community, I’m especially interested in connecting with Black-owned consulting businesses and Black independent consultants.

You’re right, those specific projects were on other platforms, HubSpot itself isn’t in my case studies yet. What those projects do show is the actual skill set your setup needs: clean data migration, integration mapping, and building lean workflows instead of overcomplicated ones, and that transfers directly to HubSpot since the underlying logic (contacts, pipelines, automation, properties) works the same way across these tools. If it helps, I’m happy to start with a small paid test task in your actual HubSpot account first, so you can see the approach in action before committing to the full setup. Totally understand if you’d rather go with someone who has direct HubSpot case studies though, no hard feelings either way.

Hello Emiola Tinuola Tolulope. Ẹ ṣe for your response. I would be happy to try a small paid test task in my actual HubSpot account first. Can we converse using email at jirvine@JUSTconnectGroup,com? Hubspot just takes too much time due to my ignorance! please tell me when and how to hop on a call with you.Probly a good way to start. I appreciate you! Looking forward to discussing this. Weekend is fine to talk but please don’t skip any of your free time or your days off holiday. Important to take care of yourself. With gratitude, -john
