We are looking for a simple workflow that sends out an email to the primary contact of a deal on day 1 of that deal being generated, day 60 of that deal generated, etc.
Your trigger should be contact that is associated to the deal, delay of the
day, send email and them another delay.
This should be sent to primary contact, you can choose that.

Do I understand it right that you have several contacts associated with one deal?
Depending on what HubSpot subscription you have association labels could be helpful in this situation.
You can create a label for “primary contact” and then enrol the contact with this label into the worklfow.
However, this is only available for Enterprise subscriptions.
Would you be able to confirm what subscription you have?

Happy to help here, this is what I recommend you do:
- Create an association label for the primary contact if you haven’t done so yet: Create and use association labels
- Create a deal-based workflow as shown below, enrolling records “When filter criteria is met”.
- In the dropdown, select your primary contact association label
- Place delays as per your requirements
A few notes:
- Unless it’s ruled out entirely that a contact can over its lifetime be associated to multiple deals, the workflow should be deal-based, definitely not contact-based.
- I’d recommend setting up the create date filter as shown as it is also a precaution to accidentally enrolling older deals.
If you only have simple workflows as part of a starter subscription, things are more challenging. You would choose pipeline automation (setting up the automation for whatever your first deal stage is) but couldn’t specify the primary contact. Set up pipeline automations for objects
