First of all, I was not able to edit domain settings because:
“Your account doesn’t have access to domains. Domains are used to host content in the CMS. Your account is a Developer Sandbox which isn’t eligible for domain connection.”
After I diverted my website domain (furrykids.love) to Hubspot’s site, the page shows 404 error . The weired thing is, while it said 404 error, if I click the address bar, without editing anything, press enter, the page will load correctly. Despite refreshing page did not work.
Can you confirm if you have a HubSpot Free Account or a Developer Sandbox account?
A Sandbox account is meant to be used for developer testing, not for hosting live websites. As such, in these portals, we would see this error message.
Thank you Kristen, for the reply. My intention is to have a free account as trial use. Not quite sure how it becomes a developer sandbox account though. How do I change my account to a Free account?
I would recommend setting up a CMS Free portal, a CMS demo portal would have the ability to connect a domain as mentioned here where you can run further testing.
It’s currently not possible to convert a Developer Sandbox into a regular account. You would need to sign up for CMS Free Portal in order to get access to the domain manager.
If you would like assistance with signing up for the portal, you can contact our sales team on the contact us page by phone or chat.
