My domain works with a slug /home but not by itself.

I have recently connected my domain to my website from GoDaddy, but it only works with the slug /home. Whenever I try to remove this slug and just make it the domain name, it doesn’t work and says “domain already in use.”

Hey @WebsiteBuilder, check all of your pages(website and landing pages) and the individual states (published, archived, draft, planned…) and replace it there first.

If your page(s) arent live yet or you don’t have that much traffic, think about unpublishing the corresponding page first to avoid redirects (and potentially redirect-loops)

best,

Anton

I only have one page so far on HubSpot, and it is my home page. I had made a “coming soon” page on my website from GoDaddy when I first bought the domain. However, I thought connecting my domain to hubspot should override this.

I appreciate your reply. It keeps saying “page already in use.”

If your website loads correctly at mydomain.com/home but not at mydomain.com, you’re likely facing a routing or configuration issue with your website’s root path. This is a common issue and can be fixed depending on your hosting setup and platform.
