Our company has multiple contacts that belong to multiple Sales Reps. When I am the owner of the contact, I can see My Contacts on the HubSpot Phone app. Now what I want to be able to do is put multiple fields or values in a certain field, such as Sales Person and be able to filter on “ME”, just like the My Contacts filter does. When I have typed in “Me” it literally looks for “Me” instead of my name. How can I add “Me” to any filter that would look into a field to see if that field contains my name?
Are you trying to filer on your phone or on the desktop?
On the desktop go to contacts(or companies)
then go to all saved filters and there is a filter for my contacts.
Additionally, add a filter and chose contact owner then select those you want to see.
If you are going in through the mobile app, under contacts/companies there is a sort on the top right under the word companies. select from there. Please note the selection is limited on mobile app.
That’s the issue. I know there is My Contacts there. So let me give you a scenario.
Contact Name: Best C. Ustomer
Owner: Martin
Sales Person: Martin, Bob, Jim
On the phone, when I search My Contacts, it is filtered and I can see Best. Now my coworkers Bob and Jim also have Best as their Contact. When they select “My Contacts”, Best is not in the filter because they are not the owner.
I want to create another filter say “All My Contacts” where the Owner is ME, or the Sales Person property contains ME. Then if I am any of the Sales Persons listed above, I will see Best in that Filter. However, if Joe uses the Filter, he will not see Best.
@Marsharks I have not been able to get filters to work for this or that.
I recommend creating a custom property with multiple checkboxes and filter by it.
@gelflex-cc Yes, I can do that, but I want to know how to use “ME” just like the My Contacts uses. I don’t want to set up Bob’s Contacts, Jim’s Contacts, etc. I have 15 Sales people and I want to simply put in “ME”. In other applications, I can use the @ sign, but I can’t figure out in HubSpot how to use the “ME” to mean the logged in User.
@Marsharks On the desktop version, there are filters for my contacts and my companies. You would need to be listed as the contact owner.
@gelflex-cc I know. That’s the whole point of my post. I may, or may not be the contact owner. I have 31,000 contacts in my “database” of which I am not the owner of any of them, but I could be the Sales Rep. However, I want to use “ME” as in My Contacts for another field. Either HubSpot can, or it can’t use “ME” unless it is internal created by HubSpot. Thanks.

@gelflex-cc Have you look at the My Contacts filter? Then you will understand what “ME” is.
I want to be able to do this exact same thing with another field, so everyone that logs in uses “ME”. Except, not the Contact Owner field.

@gelflex-cc Yes. That is the entire point of this thread. “My Contacts where I am not the owner”. I was looking for a solution on how to setup a filter using the same “Me” that My Contacts uses. I know how to use the out of the box stuff, I was thinking out of the box though… 
@Marsharks there is not another option other than creating filters for the owner and a custom filter for those you are working with. If you feel passionate about another way of accomplishing this, go to the idea board and post there.
