I’m trying to figure out a way to create a new field on the “deal” object that takes the “amount” field and multiplies it by a certain number depending on what’s selected in the “forecast category” field (e.g., if “forecast category” = “commit”, then multiply “amount” by .75 and put that value in “forecast category weighted amount” field). I spoke with HubSpot support, and this isn’t possible to do at this time. It would be great to be able to use if/then statements to calcuate fields via a custom field creation and/or a workflow.

+1 to this!

Being able to use if/then logic opens up the power of the CRM to a completely different level. I’d like to be able to calculate estimated revenue based upon many different factors…

if _customer type 1_ then…

if _purchase price_ \>= X then…

- Dropdown Menu ABC = _high price model_

_- estimated revenue = (purchase price - (purchase price \* discount amount) ) \* Commission_

```
if *purchase price <=X then...*
```

- Dropdown Menu ABC = _low price model_

_- estimated revenue = (purchase price \* Commission)_

_if customer type 2 and purchase price \>= X then …_

_… And_ so on and so forth. Having this much control to use the properties in unique ways is a game changer to being able to do massive amounts of calculations and decisions that can create HIGHLY personalized structures for a variety of clients. If Hubspot implements this, they’re able to become the most customizable CRM ever.
