We are hosting a lot of events. Is it possible to have only one form and one follow up email notification with the information of time and place, so we do not have to make multiple forms, emails, and workflows?

Depending on your subscription level, you might be able to accomplish this by using smart content in the follow up email. You’ll need a way to determine which event someone is signing up for - either by including a question on the form, or by having event specific landing pages, but as long as you can segement contacts into different lists based on which even they’re attending, you should be able to leverage smart content in a single follow up email.
