Multiple Clients, Multiple U.S. Cities

Hello. I am very new to Hubspot. I work as an independent consultant that provides sales and business development services for a large number of clients. In most cases, very small businesses. A big part of what we offer is email marketing services. While I do like the email engine from Hubspot, I am not clearly seeing how I can run multiple campaigns on behalf of multiple clients with just my single Hubspot identity. I am guessing that I’m not the first person to feel challenged by this scenario. If any advise is out there from anyone, I would be most grateful. Thanks.

Hey @JHoward57, Welcome to HubSpot!

Managing multiple clients and campaigns can be challenging, but there are ways to make it work. Consider creating separate HubSpot accounts for each client to keep data and campaigns distinct. Alternatively, you can use client-specific dashboards and folders within a single account for better organization. Utilize custom properties and segmentation to tag contacts and emails by client, making it easier to manage your lists and campaigns.

To our top experts, @danmoyle and @TomM2 do you have any recommendations for @JHoward57 matter?

Thank you,

Pam

Hi @JHoward57 and welcome to the Community! You’re correct - HubSpot isn’t built to be a consultant’s central tool for all of their clients as you’ve described. It’s built to be your CRM to manage all of your communications with prospects, contacts, and clients.

As @PamCotton mentioned, you’d want to create an account for each client, and you’d be the “partner” they work with. This would also keep data separate for each client, which is ideal.

As a partner myself, but also a client of agencies, I’d recommend this route also because having an agency or consultant “own” my data and campaigns is frustrating. I as the client want to own it in case we part ways. So making an account for each separate client is best practice for that reason as well.

Happy HubSpotting!
