I have a workflow that creates a Task when a Lead is created.

When this Task is completed, I want the Lead to move from New to Attempting.

Hi @AReyes22,

You would create a separate **task** based workflow for that, which enrolls tasks associated to leads that are in the “New” stage and where the task status is completed, then use “Edit record” to update the stage of the associated lead to attempting.

Best regards!

This my current workflow for the Tasks created from New Leads. Do I add a step?

@AReyes22 no, as I said you would create a new, additional, **task based** workflow - there are ways to do this within a single workflow but they’ve proven to be not as reliable as a separate workflow.

can you elaborate on how to do this? How do I enroll tasks associated to New Leads?

@AReyes22 when you create a workflow, choose the Skip option in the left sidebar, then choose Tasks as the object the workflow is centered around, click into the enrollment criteria, select “When filter criteria is met”, click “Add filter”, then change the dropdown from “Task” to “Lead”, click “Lead properties”, find the lead stage property and select your “New” stage.
