Migrating to a Hubspot Marketplace Theme

My team is looking to update our website and we are looking at using a marketplace theme.

1. The marketplace theme uses the latest version of jQuery but our current site is still using 1.7.1 version. Would switching themes require us to update the jQuery or would just switching themes automatically update the jQuery.

2. If we used the content staging feature in Hubspot, would we be able to change themes in groups (for example our most visited 20 pages first). And if so, would we be able to run our old theme and new theme at the same time even though our old global header is different than our new one?

Any any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @SEsposito4,

1. Depending on the theme used, it should have a conditional that automatically detects whether your website uses HubSpot’s outdated jQuery. To use the theme’s latest jQuery, you only need to disable HubSpot’s jQuery from Content Settings.

However, if your current site depends on HubSpot’s jQuery, you should first add a manual jQuery embed to your current theme/template BEFORE disabling the Content Settings option.

2. Content Staging allows you to stage each page from the production/live environment. In this case, you can stage, update, and launch your first 20 pages without affecting the rest of your website’s pages.
