Migrating Emails from Salesforce (Einstein Activity Capture) to HubSpot

Hello everyone,

we recently transitioned our CRM System from Salesforce to Hubspot. In Salesforce, we used the Einstein Activity Capture feature to log our emails with leads and contacts.

Unfortunately, these email protocols couldn’t be migrated using the basic Salesforce Hubspot data sync. Also, the Salesforce data loader can’t retrieve all emails, so I can’t import them this way (or at least I don’t know how to).

Hubspot Support recommended using a rule in Outlook that forwards all emails to the forward email address …@formward.hubspot.com. Tried this and two problems appeared: 1. Doesn’t work for all emails, 2. it also creates new contacts for every email that was sent or received, including newsletters, verification emails etc.
Happen that anyone here has an idea how to fix that? Our Salesforce license expires April 30th… so have a little time pressure;)
Thank you for your help!!

Hi @SBenu,

I’m not sure whether it works with your use case but Threads might be an option: HubSpot Marketplace

Best regards!

Hi @karstenkoehler ,

thanks for the prompt response. Do you know if there’s any cheaper option?
Best,

Severiano

I can give a more expensive option - our Stacksync product. :slightly_smiling_face:

While I am not sure if this would work as such, you can try n8n.io as it has API integration with both HubSpot and Salesforce, so you should be able to transfer data between the two platforms (but it highly depends on how those email activities are saved in Salesforce).

You can also just export your data from Salesforce into a CSV and import it into HubSpot as activities (with some processing in place), either as logged emails or logged notes. This will display these emails on the contact timeline, for example.
