Look how use media query:

HTML

</div>
<div class="my-column">

</div>
<div class="my-column">
 Content here

 Content here

CSS

.my-column{ 
 width:25%;
}

@media (max-width:900px){
 .my-column{
 width:50%;
 }
}

in this example I ignored all the other CSS formatting, to show only the responsiveness of the media query.
