Goal
Looking for a functionality in custom properties to ‘mask’ confidential data. Ideally to hide a couple of digits for properties used to store passwords/EIN/SSN (eg: XX-XXX-123 or **-***-123)
Use case
They are looking to keep these personal data secured and do not want these information to be visible to all users/employees in the account. Without this functionality, they need to store these data externally in order to ensure it’s confidential.
This would be fantastic for my company as well. We are always needing SSN/EIN, Passport or Drivers Licnece Details, payment info etc…We store this externally, but Hubspot really is the best place to have it if it can be built with proper security measures in place.
Hello- bit of an old post, but HubSpot now offers the ability to protect and store sensitive information. We launched at INBOUND in 2024. To see more, please refer to Store Sensitive Data in HubSpot. Access to sensitive data within properties can be controlled through standard property access permissions configurations.
