Hubspot had recently applied a change that doesn’t allow users to change leads to non-marketing immediately, but rather just once per month !!! It distorts the data + it forces inefficient work as the first person who noticed a lead to not be a marketing lead, needs to mark them as such and we can’t tell if someone already did it or not. Changing it to once a month is outrageous! and simply doesn’t make any sense (other than to enforce overpayment to hubspot).
Hi @MZaks1
This is not new but has always been the case since the introduction of marketing contacts.
You can see if a contact has been set to become a non-marketing contact by checking the “marketing contact until next update” property, if this is “Yes” the contact will become a non-marketing contact at the beginning of the next month.
This article outlines how marketing contacts work and what properties are available in HubSpot.
Hope that helps
Frank
Hubspot has always been this way. If you made a mistake and roll out the leads quickly you could try to reach out to Hubspot regarding the error and discuss the payment. However, this measure has been in since day one of this policy to prevent people from abusing the feature to upload and remove people before their billing cycle ends to underpay Hubspot.
