Marketplace app listing – Setup documentation URL keeps failing validation

Hi team,

I’m a Marketplace app provider and I’m running into an issue with my app listing’s Setup documentation URL validation.

Portal ID: 442790888
App listing name: SmartChatAI
Setup documentation URL: https://www.smartchatai.io/integration-guide-hubspot/

In the Support info → Support resources section of the listing editor, HubSpot shows the green text “That URL is valid.” under the field, but the input still has a red error border and the listing validation fails. Because of this, I can’t complete the listing.

The URL:

Is publicly accessible over HTTPS
Does not require login, paywall, or any kind of sign‑up
Is a dedicated HubSpot integration setup guide (not a homepage, support page, or general FAQ)
Contains a clear, step‑by‑step guide for connecting SmartChatAI to HubSpot and using the integration

For reference, here’s the main structure and content of the page:

Step 3 — Authorize HubSpot Access and allow requested permissions
Step 4 — Complete the connection and start syncing leads

I can open the URL in an incognito browser with no extensions, and the content displays as expected. However, tools that fetch the page programmatically (including the validator in the listing editor and external fetch attempts) appear to get no content back, which makes me think there may be an issue with how HubSpot’s crawler is interpreting this page or with how the validator is handling it.

Could someone from HubSpot please:

Confirm whether this URL is being successfully crawled/indexed by the Marketplace listing validator, and Let me know if there is any specific reason it does not meet the setup documentation requirements, or if this is a bug on HubSpot’s side?

I’m happy to provide additional details, headers / curl output, or a simplified test URL if that helps with debugging.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello @RLangford,

Welcome to the Community!

Could you confirm if the HubID listed above is the one you used to create the app? I’m asking because we’ve seen several similar app listing questions in the Community recently that seem tied to this post here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Account-Settings/More-than-0-apps-please/m-p/1260347#M36154

I understand that we’re likely nearing the end of the day for many folks, but please feel free to report back tomorrow if the issue is persisting and I’ll gladly pair with our internal team to confirm whats going on here!
Thank you!
