# Marketing Software Certification Exercises

I’m trying to complete the marketing software certification course under the free plan. I’m doing this in preparation for some potential client work, where the client will be paying for a pro account. But, when I go to create a blog post in module 2, it’s telling me I don’t have access. Do I seriously need to upgrade to an annual membership just to get this certification?

Hi @AdamL,

In order to complete the practicum of the marketing software certification, you do need to have access to the marketing software.

Not all certifications have practicums, and those without practicums don’t require access to tools, as the scores are just based on the exams.
