I am sending marketing newsletters right from HubSpot and it works great.
However, on the Free version, I am struggling with generating a link I can share on LinkedIn that actually works (all the time)
After I send my newsletter to my contacts using HubSpot, I would like to also share on LinkedIn. I click on the ‘View Email’ at the top of the page and I get a link:
https://preview.hs-sites.com/_hcms/preview/content/41265927436?portalId=8049118&_preview=true&cacheBust=0&preview_key=ciXntISo&from_buffer=false
This link seems to work for PC but NOT for mobile devices? The link takes mobile users to a HubSpot login page.
When I send the test email to myself it works fine on both devices.
Is this simply a limitation of the Free HubSpot I am using or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks,
Scott
Hi @SBDGrowth,
The preview.hs-sites.com links that are generated when you click on the preview image of an email (“View email”) are only available to logged in users.
For sharing on social media, you need the web version functionality of an email, included in Marketing Hub Starter or higher: Create versions of marketing emails that are viewed in browser
(There is another type of preview link, unfortunately not meant for sharing either. In the email editor, click the Actions button on the upper left of the editor, Preview > Copy shareable link. That link will look something like this hs-sites.com/-temporary-slug. This would be available to non-users but is temporary and not meant for sharing.)
Hope this helps!
