I noticed that a similar idea submission was published back in 2020. Since the desired feature is still not available to my knowledge, and in my view would offer significant value for collaboration between marketing and sales, I would like to resubmit this idea.
Currently, sent marketing emails are displayed exclusively in the activity history of the respective contact. It is not possible to assign or additionally display them in the associated company record.
However, especially in B2B sales, it would be helpful to be able to see relevant marketing emails in the primary associated company record as well. This would allow sales representatives to track directly in the company record which communication has already taken place with the contacts stored there.
Proposed Feature
When creating or sending a marketing email, there should be an option to select whether the email should also be displayed in the activity history of the primary associated company.
The setting could, for example, read:
“Also display marketing email in the primary associated company”
Possible Use Cases
For general newsletters, displaying them at the company level would often not be necessary, as this could quickly clutter the company history.
For more targeted marketing campaigns, however, additional documentation would be very helpful, for example for:
